Give me a (Spirit) Break 08/26/2009
Wanna avoid that 3 pm slump? Take a Spirit Break... We've all had co-workers who take cigarette breaks throughout the day, so why not take a break of your own (sans the nicotine) to give your brain a rest and recharge your Spirit. Step outside for just a few minutes and breathe deeply. Let the outdoor air fill your lungs and boost your energy. Feel the warmth of the day and the sunshine on your skin. Let the drama of the office slip away and release any anxiety you have over your projects or deadlines. Know that when you return to your desk you'll be better able to handle any issues that pop up during the rest of the day, and that this little break in now way interferes with your your workload. In fact, it will make you more productive, more relaxed and more fun to work with!
